Brixton has groups and layers which are properly named and labeled for easier work.
GROUPS AND LAYERS

Menu (upper menu) - here is where you set your menu items

Logo (place for logo)

Upperposts is the group where you set the upper three featured posts. Inside you will find place for image and title text.

Sidebar has several groups inside, each implements one widget. They are properly structured. You will find about us, recent posts, popular posts, instagram, categories, search, advertising and social block.
Inside each group are properly structured sub groups for implementing certain parts. For instance in recent posts you will see named groups 1,2 and 3, each representing one recent post.

Blog has 5 groups, each representing a specific post.

Instagram contains 6 clipping mask layers, above each you insert your image. You can read more about clipping mask in the tutorial below.

lowerfooter is where you set the copyright text and lower menu.

footer is where you set the quote and add the lower footer logo.
Fonts used in the template:
Both fonts are also included in the Google Web Font Library.
PSD Template is well grouped and is easy to customize. All groups are named according to the part they represent (Sidebar, blog, menu, instagram,...).
CLIPPING MASKS FOR IMAGES
